What shall I do with Jesus?
—Matthew 27:22
I’m fiercely loyal to certain teams. No matter who they’re playing, I want them to win. But sometimes two teams are going at it, and I don’t care who wins; neither is my team. I’m neutral. I don’t have a dog in that fight.
It’s the same with schools, businesses, and products. I’m intensely loyal to some and neutral about others.
Pilate asked a vicious mob, “What shall I do with Jesus?” He got a sorry answer: “Crucify him!”
It’s a question we all must answer: What shall I do with Jesus? Neutrality isn’t an option. Crucify him or crown him. There is no middle ground.
As Albert Simpson’s hymn has it:
What will you do with Jesus?
Neutral you cannot be;
Someday your heart will be asking,
“What will He do with me?”
What will your answer be?
