Begin

Now begin the work, and the Lord be with you.
                                   —1 Chronicles 22:16

There is something you need to do, right? You intend to do it, and have been promising yourself that you will. But you haven’t. Why? Because you haven’t begun it. You’ve cleaned your desk. Sharpened your pencils. Run your errands. You’ve spent time and energy getting ready to do what you need to do. But you haven’t done it, because you haven’t begun it. You put it off and push it back, and before you know it the day is gone.

If you are serious about doing it, there’s one thing you need to do: BEGIN! Today! You don’t have to commit to finishing; you just need to commit to beginning. This one thing—beginning—will get you further down the road than you imagine.

You don’t have to be successful to start,
but you have to start to be successful.
