Delay Doesn’t Mean Denial

Wait for the Lord; be strong and
take heart and wait for the Lord.
                         —Psalm 27:14

You have prayed … and prayed … and prayed. Urgently. Earnestly. Pleadingly. But you have seen no response. Even so, don’t quit believing and don’t stop praying.

Delay does not mean denial nor does presently-unanswered mean permanently-ungranted.

God won’t yank your prayer from his In-Box, even if you’ve given up. But don’t give up, because God’s timing is flawless.

Your prayer will be answered—at the right time. The timing may be in question, but the answer isn’t. Even when you are discouraged by the delay don’t doubt the promise: “… the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer” (1 Pet. 3:12). “We can trust God to keep his promise” (Heb. 10:23 TEV).

Make peace with God’s timing.
