You believe that God hears and answers prayer because you have measured the problems that you have had by the prayers that you have prayed, and are certain that God came to the rescue.
So you set prayer over against the troubles you are presently facing, or those you may confront in the future, and you believe that God will hear you, be with you, and see you through.
And when things aren’t working out as you wish, you keep praying, because you believe that while answers and solutions may be too hard for you, they are not too hard for him.
