When John opened his Gospel pointing to Jesus as the Life and the Light, he eliminated comparison, competition, or compromise.
God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life (1 Jno. 5:11-12).
Jesus, and only Jesus, is the Life and the Light. He is not one Savior among many; he is the one-and-only Savior, the one-and-only way to God.
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Dare to live for Him;
