No Condemnation

There is now no condemnation
for those who are in Christ Jesus.
                 —Romans 8:1

You are a sinner, but you won’t be convicted because Jesus assumed your guilt and took your punishment.

Justice demands that you pay the price for your transgressions. But in an act of grace that defies human understanding, the penalty for your sins has been paid by your benefactor.

Justice now demands pardon, not condemnation, because your guilt has been wiped out by the death of Jesus. The penalty has been paid; the sentence has been served; justice has been satisfied.

Your baptism put you in Christ (Rom. 6:3), and there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ (Rom. 8:1).

 You couldn’t pay the price.
He could. And did.
