Trust in him at all times.
—Psalm 62:8
Martha loves her son and is always there for him—but she admits to being a bit vexed that she only hears from him when he needs something.
Never allow your relationship with God to become seasonal.
Sweet hour of prayer! Sweet hour of prayer!
That calls me from a world of care,
And bids me at my Father’s throne
Make all my wants and wishes known.
In seasons of distress and grief,
My soul has often found relief . . .
It’s a lovely hymn, but face time with the Father should be more than making our wants and wishes known; and more often than in seasons of distress and grief.
He wants to hear from us in the hard times but doesn’t want us to forget him in the good times—in sickness and in health.
Stay in touch with the Father
all day every day.
