A Bumper Sticker that Convicted Me

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.
                          —Psalm 107:1

I’m not a fan of bumper stickers with political agendas or those that are morally obnoxious. But I am fond of those that make me smile—like these:

If you can read this, I’ve lost my trailer.

If at first you don’t succeed, skydiving is probably not for you.

Vegetarian is an old Indian word meaning “lousy hunter.”

I spotted a four-word non-humorous one yesterday that stopped me in my tracks. It said: “Too blessed to complain.” I felt convicted. My problems are small potatoes; my blessings beyond count. “From the fullness of his grace [I] have received one blessing after another” (Jn 1:16).

Too blessed to complain.
