Questions Jesus Asks (2)

Consider carefully how you listen.
                        —Luke 8:18

If we only view the Bible as history—a collection of events that happened hundreds of years ago—we become spectator readers.

One way to avoid this and feel a first-century sizzle is to confront the questions Jesus asked and answer them for yourself, letting them meet you where you are at this point in your life.

I posted some yesterday. Here are a few more.

  • Is your heart hardened?
  • Why are you so frightened?
  • Where is your faith?
  • Why do doubts invade your mind?
  • Do you realize what I have done for you?
  • Why do you call me “Lord, Lord,” and don’t do what I tell you?
  • Do you love me?

Intimacy with Jesus is experienced
through reflective listening.
