The Lord your God will deliver them over to you.

God promised he would be with the Israelites when they entered Canaan—would give them victory over seven nations that were larger and stronger than they were (Dt 7:1).
But they wouldn’t conquer all of them in one fell swoop: “The Lord your God will drive out those nations before you, little by little. You will not be allowed to eliminate them all at once” (Dt 7:22).
Do you have some bad habits that seem stronger than you? Don’t give up on yourself when you fail to conquer them all at once. Request God’s aid, and he will help you to defeat them little by little.
You are being transformed into the likeness of Christ little by little, “from one degree of glory to another” (2 Cor 3:18).
You’re winning big—little by little.
