It is finished.

When I was asked, “What word describes your most exhilarating feeling?” several words came to mind.
I finally chose “accomplishment.” I love the feeling of crossing out an item on my to-do list. And it’s especially satisfying if it’s the last item on the list at the end of the day.
Jesus was nearing the end of his life when he said to God, “I glorified you on earth, having accomplished (finished) the work that you gave me to do” (Jn 17:4). His last words on the cross were, “It is finished.”
I can think of nothing that would be more gratifying than coming to the end of life able to say, “I have glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do.”
“Mission accomplished”
is the desired ending.
