When We See Jesus

[We] will see his face.
  —Revelation 22:4

What will it be like when we see Jesus?

Gospel singer Bart Millard wondered about that after his father’s death—and he wrote a song about it. Here are some of the words:

Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel?
Will I dance for you, Jesus, or in awe of you be still?
Will I stand in your presence or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing hallelujah, will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine.

“I have seen you in the sanctuary,” wrote David.

So have we. In deeply moving moments of worship, we have felt his touch and seen his glory. But what will it be like to see him face to face?

Glorious! For now, that’s all we know.

When you get home, you will find
what you have been looking for all your life.
