God’s Quest

We are his workmanship.
    —Ephesians 2:10

“My lifelong dream was to find this great ship, and during the past thirteen years the quest for her had dominated my life. Now, finally, the quest was over.”

So wrote Robert Ballard after discovering the Titanic more than two miles deep in the North Atlantic.

Do you have a quest—a dominating dream for your life? I hope so. And I hope it runs parallel to God’s quest to get you home.

One thread of God’s quest is conforming you to his Son’s image (Rom 8:29).

Another is in Philippians 1:6, where you’re told that he began a good work in you and won’t stop until it’s completed.

He calls you his workmanship (Eph 2;10).

He won’t quit his quest for you until he has checked all the boxes.

Cooperate with God’s quest.
