Texts That Changed Lives (1)

Your word is a lamp for my feet.
             —Psalm 119:105)

A century ago, F.W. Boreham wrote four books about people whose lives were changed by a single scripture. Here are a few of them—not their stories, just the texts that changed their stories. These will be posted for the next four days.

Martin Luther: “The just shall live by faith” (Romans 1:17).

Hugh Latimer: “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” (1 Timothy 1:15).

John Bunyan: “Him that cometh to Me, I will in no wise cast out” (John 6:37).

John Knox: “This is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent” (John 17:3).

Andrew Fuller: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).
