Know This

Christ died and returned to life.
                 —Romans 14:9

I know nothing about the future—or even if there will be a future. I don’t know if human history is presently in ACT I or ACT III—whether our present times are in historical infancy or in old age.

But one thing I know: the death and resurrection of Jesus change all tragedies of any age and any life into glorious and eternal victory.

What is of “first importance,” said Paul, is “that Christ died for our sins . . . that he was buried [and] that he was raised on the third day” (1 Cor 15:3, 4).

“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Rom 10:9).

If you know but one thing, know this:
Jesus died and was raised from the dead.
