Teach us to number our days.
—Psalm 90:12
Are you living in the past? The future? Or the now?
“You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes” (Jas 414).
Make this prayer your own: “Teach [me] to number [my] days that [I] may get a heart of wisdom” (Ps 90:12).
In our flawed mental gymnastics, there is always a “someday” in which to do what we should be doing today.
“The ‘right time’ is now, and the ‘day of salvation’ is now” (2 Cor 6:2 NCV).
Before tuning out this message, think about one thing you intend to do someday that you should do today; something that would be cause for regret if time ran out before you did it.
There are no sadder words than these: “Too late.”
