In Times Like These (1)

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity.
            —Ecclesiastes 3:1

The two cities in Charles Dickens’ novel A Tale of Two Cities were London and Paris. The time frame included the French Revolution, a time when some horrible things happened, but also some good things.

The novel begins with Dickens’ memorable line: “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. . . . it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair.”

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.”

That pretty well describes our times, too. More coming. Stay tuned.

God hasn’t relinquished control.
