He’s Calling Your Name

Whoever acknowledges me before others,
I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven.
                                —Matthew 10:32

The 9/11 Memorial displays 2,977 names of victims of the tragedy. A loved one searching the list is looking for one specific name.

When a name is called in an audience of thousands, or over a PA system in a crowded airport terminal, the person who wears that name becomes immediately alert.

A name is important and personal. Dale Carnegie said that a person’s name is to that person the sweetest and most important sound in any language.

Jesus said, “Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven.” Imagine that! The prospect of having Jesus call my name in the presence of the Father, acknowledging me as his own, gives me goose bumps.

Listen! He’s calling your name.

Your name is known and special to Him.
