Keep Growing and Going

We will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
                                —Galatians 6:9

You don’t have to page through your old high school yearbook to remember who was Number One. But the “Most Likely to Succeed” often flame out in the real world.

The late Dr. Harold Hazelip said, “One of the most common problems of human beings is that we die around 40, but we’re not buried until we’re 70 or 80.”

Caleb was 40 when he uncompromisingly declared his faith. He was stuck for the next 40 years in the miserable company of weak-kneed wilderness wanderers. But Caleb never caved in to their negative faithlessness. He wholeheartedly followed the Lord and was still going strong at 85.

If you need a shot of spiritual adrenaline to keep you going, pick up your Bible and spend two minutes reading the inspiring story of Caleb in Joshua 14:6–14.

Don’t give in or give up.
