Don’t Wait too Long or Quit too Soon

Keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.
                            —Romans 12:11

Mozart was 7 when his first composition was published.

Mickey Mantle hit 23 home runs when he was 20, his first year in the major leagues.

William Pitt II was 24 when he became Prime Minister of Great Britain.

Golda Meir was 71 when she became Prime Minister of Israel.

Benjamin Franklin was a newspaper columnist at 16 … and a framer of the U.S. Constitution when he was 81.

The application we should take away is that we are never too young or too old to serve the Lord.

Those who wait until secular goals have been reached have waited too long. Those who quit when they feel too old have quit too soon.
