From the beginning God chose you.

You are on God’s team. And you weren’t the last kid to be picked. He chose you before the creation of the world (Eph. 1:4).
When he started putting his team together he pointed at you and said this one is mine. You aren’t a backup, a benchwarmer, a substitute, a second-stringer. You’re a starter, a first choice.
There was no salary cap; he laid down a jaw-dropping price for you—bought you “with the precious blood of Christ” (1 Pet. 1:19). Professional athletes’ paydays are pocket change compared to what was paid for you.
And your contract is eternal. You will never be benched, traded, or retired—and you can take that to the bank.
He chose you before you chose him.
