Suffering, brokenness, and pain sooner or later come to all. It’s included in the package labeled “Life.”
Even if your personal circumstances are prosperous and comfortable, you sometimes find yourself in the throes of worry, depression, or distress; burdened by the struggles of family members and friends.
You agonize for those who live in fractured family relationships; ache for those who are ill and aren’t going to get well; grieve for those who have lost their dearest on earth.
You want to make everything right for those you love; but you can’t. And you sometimes wonder why God doesn’t.
But you’ve read the final chapter of the story, and you know in the end, no matter how long it takes to get there, everything is going to be all right.
An occasional bad day isn’t going to throw
you off-track, because you know how the story ends.
