He Lives Forever

I was dead, and behold
I am alive for ever and ever.
    —Revelation 1:18

Jesus came into the world quietly . . . so quietly that the residents of Bethlehem had no notion that anything important was happening the night he was born in their little town.

But his resurrection was anything but quiet. The apostle Paul wrote that after his resurrection, “he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living” (1 Cor 15:6).

If all the alleged witnesses were dead, there might be room for doubt, but it’s impossible to imagine enlisting over 500 people in a hoax.

He is alive . . . interceding for you until you join him forever (Rom 8:34; Heb 7:25).

He is at God’s right hand,
validating your passport to heaven.
