I hope you’re not making the mistake of living in the past—brooding over decisions, words, and actions that you’ve come to regret. That’s time and mental energy wasted because you can’t undo the past.
Don’t be so hard on yourself. Confess your mistakes and move on. Give them to God and trust what he promises to do with them.
Let me point you to two things God says about your past. 1) He says, “If we confess our sins, he will forgive our sins, [and] cleanse us from all the wrongs we have done” (1 John 1:9). 2) He says, “I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more” (Heb 8:12).
God said it. Do you believe it?
Don’t grieve God by refusing to believe him.
