Be still before the Lord
and wait patiently for him.

Try these “wait” verses on for size. You’ll find one that fits.
“Wait for the Lord, and he will deliver you” (Prv 20:22).
“The Lord longs to be gracious to you . . . Blessed are all who wait for him” (Is 30:18).
“Those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength . . . They will run and not get tired. They will walk and not become weary” (Is 40:31).
“The Lord is wonderfully good to those who wait for him and seek him” (Lam 3:25).
Sometimes it seems that God walks slowly. He has his reasons, so let him set the pace.
Don’t mistake God’s delays for denials.
