Let Us Pray (1)

By the grace of God I am what I am.
                   —1 Corinthians 15:10

Lord God,

You have made me all that I am and given me all that I have.

I have no worthiness or compensating works to offer in exchange for your grace. All I have is what has been given me: the worthiness and works of Jesus. He is the gift of your unfathomable love: You so loved me that you gave your only begotten Son for me.

He came. He died. He was raised. He returned to you, where he unceasingly intercedes for me.

You made him who had no sin to be sin for me, so that in him I might become the righteousness of God.

To you and to him, I owe all. I bow in grateful thanks.

Amen.

All that I am and all that I have
is a gift from God.
