You believe that God hears and answers prayer because you have measured the problems you’ve had by the prayers you’ve prayed and the answers you have received.
So you set prayer over against the troubles you presently have or those you may face in the future, and you believe that God will hear you, be with you, and see you through.
And when things aren’t working out as you wish, you keep praying because you believe that while answers and solutions may be too hard for you, they aren’t too hard for God.
