They saw no one except Jesus.

Jesus’ three closest friends were terrified. Imagine yourself on the mountain with them, and you’ll see why.
Their drowsiness gave way to wide-awake bewilderment when Jesus’ face suddenly shone like the sun, and his clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning. Then two long-gone VIPs, Moses and Elijah, appeared. Then a bright cloud enveloped them, and the voice of God spoke to them.
Eerie. Spine-chilling. Terrifying. No wonder they fell flat on their faces, trembling with fear.
The end of the story is forceful and timeless: “Then Jesus came and touched them. ‘Get up,’ he said. ‘Don’t be afraid.’ When they looked up, they saw no one except Jesus.”
Your life has some terrifying chapters. The solution is Jesus: look up and see no one except Jesus.
Jesus is the answer.
