He gives us the victory
through our Lord Jesus Christ.
—1 Corinthians 15:57
Jesus knows the helplessness and hopelessness you feel when your world is falling apart. He knows how it feels to pray and wonder if you’re being heard. He’s been there. In the darkness of Gethsemane, he prayed to be delivered from the present and approaching agony.
His prayer was answered with silence.
A few hours later, he hung on a cross, battered, bloody, and dying.
“My God, why have you forsaken me?” he cried.
Yet, with uncompromising trust, he said with his last breath: “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.”
Three days later, God honored that trust with a spine-tingling, heart-stirring, world-changing Sunday.
It was Easter!
Hang on, my friend. Easter is coming!
Shout Hallelujah!
