God sent his Son, born of a woman.

When angel Gabriel told Mary she would conceive and give birth to a son, she asked a reasonable question: “How?” After all, she was a virgin.
Gabriel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God” (Lk 1:35). The conception was celestial. God did it.
Salvation is a God thing: a celestial act of God’s grace is required to bring us to salvation. Jesus told Nicodemus that unless one is born from above they can’t enter God’s kingdom (Jn 3:3 NRSV).
You did no more to save yourself than Mary did to be with child. The “How?” of salvation has only one answer: God did it.
