He who began a good work in you
will carry it on to completion.

Peter denied knowing Jesus. Suddenly, as guards herded Jesus through the courtyard, he “turned and looked straight at Peter” (Lk 22:61). Devastating!
As he did for Peter, Jesus does two things for you when you fail.
He prays for you. Jesus knew Peter would deny him. Still, he prayed for him: “I have pleaded in prayer for you that your faith should not completely fail” (Lk 22:32a TLB). And at this very moment, he is praying for you (Rom 8:4; Heb 7:25).
He believes in you. Jesus knew that Peter would fail. Even so, he believed in him and knew that he would repent and return to him (Lk 22:32b TLB). He is aware of your failure but knows that you will return to him.
Stop! Think! He believes in you and is praying for you.
At this very moment, Jesus is praying for you.
