not seen and yet have believed.

When his fellow-disciples said Jesus was alive, and they had seen him, Thomas retorted, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands . . . I will not believe it.”
Seven days later, in a face-to-face with Thomas, Jesus said, “[L]ook at my hands.”
“My Lord and my God!” said Thomas.
“Because you have seen me, you have believed,” Jesus said. “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
Your name is in that last sentence, for, “Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your soul” (1 Pt 1:8-9).
“Seeing is believing,” goes the old saw.
For the Christian, “Believing is seeing.”
