Sitting on the outside deck of a café in Dover, England, author Rita Snowden was suddenly aware of a delightful smell. She asked her waiter where it was coming from. He said it was from some of the people walking by, who worked in a nearby perfume factory that had just closed for the day. The factory fragrance had permeated their clothes.
You may think your life is mundane; that your talent is blah, your influence zilch. Not so. You’ve worked hard to develop a pleasing personality: you’re sporting a smile instead of a scowl; respectfulness instead of rudeness; kindness instead of cruelty. You’re doing more good than you know.
People notice.
And so does God—for you give off a sweet scent rising to God (2 Cor 2:15).
