When he started putting his team together, he pointed at you and said, this one is mine. You aren’t a backup, a benchwarmer, a substitute, a second-stringer. You’re a starter, a first choice.
There was no salary cap; he laid down a jaw-dropping price for you. Professional athletes’ paydays are pocket change compared to what he paid for you—he bought you “with the precious blood of Christ” (1 Pt 1:19).
And your contract is eternal. You will never be benched, traded, or retired—and you can take that to the bank.
You’re a key player on the championship team.
